Fun to draw such things in detail but probably not the best use of your time on the mcat. Make a quick sketch, couple equations, estimate and round on the math, and move on. Besides for a physics guy like you it should be something you can do in your head 🙂
That was actually for a problem that I had missed and didn’t understand the answer given. Also, having a physics background doesn’t mean that I understand every single physics topic intimately or that I have every concept cold. I might know a lot about Hamiltonian or Lagrangian mechanics, but I can miss questions on work and friction the same as everyone else.
